Live The Good Life
In Downtown OKC
Oklahoma City consists of numerous official (and nonofficial) districts that ring around the Central Business District. These include Automobile Alley, The Passeo Arts District, Bricktown, Deep Deuce, Flatiron, West Village, Midtown, and Film Row. Of course, each district has its own distinct vibe and personality.
The City is also proud of numerous Architectural Landmarks which bring downtown to life! A few great examples include BancFirst, City Place Tower, Civic Center Music Hall, Colcord Hotel, Devon Energy Center, First National Center, Kerr-McGee Tower, Leadership Square, OKC Federal Building, OKC Museum of Art, OKC National Memorial, Oklahoma Tower, Paycom Center, Saint Anthony Hospital, Skirvin Hilton Hotel, the Courthouse, and Federal Office Building.
Downtown Attractions include numerous awesome restaurants, ranging from casual spots to fine dining establishments. Stock & Bond, Mahogany Prime Steakhouse, Broadway 10 Chophouse, Ranch Steakhouse, Nonesuch, Red Prime Steakhouse, Tellers, Flint Kitchen, and Vast at Devon Tower are some local favorites. Right across the street from Block 42, world-renowned Chef Black creates inspirational plates and marvelous cocktails at the casual Black Walnut Café and his adjoined fine dining establishment, The Grey Sweater. Deep Deuce Grill, Bar Cicchetti, Levitate Grill, The Blok, and Two Fish Poke are all a short walk away from Block 42 on NE 2nd Street. Hotels are also plentiful in downtown OKC, with the most luxurious options being Omni Hotel, The National (Autograph Collection Hotel by Marriott), and the Hilton Colcord. If you’re a history buff, you may find The Skirvin Hilton to be very intriguing. It is famous for being the City’s most charming hotel but is not for the faint of heart, as it has also been considered as America’s most haunted hotel. Downtown Oklahoma City is also home to numerous Hospitals, Universities, Civic Centers, Museums, and impressive Parks / Trail Systems – including the Riversport Trail and Chesapeake Boathouse which is located within ½ mile from Block 42 and serves as the US Olympic Training Site for America’s top rowing, canoe, and kayak athletes! Finally, if your version of happiness involves partying the night away, you won’t be disappointed in downtown OKC. The City is home to an exciting nightlife scene, ready for you to explore!
